PT Technician (Part-time to Full-time) Needed in Columbia MD

BEAT Physical Therapy is looking for talented and energetic individuals to fill-in our job opening for Physical Therapy Technician/PT Technician/Aide in Columbia MD. Candidates must have great patient care and customer service skills. We are currently hiring only the best candidates who can help us assist our patients in achieving their optimal functional performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in checking in/out of patients on their physical therapy appointment.
• Ability to set up patients and making sure of their safety and comfort.
• Assist physical therapist in patient’s treatment exercises.
• Instruct routine exercises and motivate patients while they do their exercises or functional activities
• Record treatment progress and exercises as instructed by physical therapist or clinical supervisor
• Carefully observe patients while being treated and ensuring activities are done as prescribed by physical therapist or clinical supervisor
• Clean and disinfect threadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical, treatment beds, all clinical equipment, and furniture used after every patient use.
• Ensure that all clinic equipment and furniture are in good working condition.
• Report immediately any broken equipment (ability to troubleshoot and fix is a plus)
• Keep the reception area, gym, private rooms, common area, and pantry clean at all times.
• Fold and storage of laundry supplies as needed.
• Other clinical and office duties as instructed by the clinical supervisor

Requirements

• CPR/AED Certified.
• Computer literate.
• Able to multi-task, extremely reliable, and motivated.
• MUST: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.
• MUST: Have strong interest in helping and caring patients
• MUST: Have exercise background
• Previous experience on any EMR software is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance documentation is a plus.
• Great for those who’s looking into having clinical experience in preparation for future coursework in the medical field.
