BEAT Physical Therapy is looking for talented and energetic individuals to fill-in our job opening for Physical Therapy Assistant in Columbia MD. PTA Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates care with patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting to provide therapy treatment interventions that will facilitate full functional recovery and restore strength using effective therapeutic techniques and procedures based on the Physical Therapist’s assessment of the patient’s needs
  • Instructs and assists patients in therapeutic interventions
  • Assists patient to meet goals established for patient’s plan of care including home exercise programs and pain relief management.
  • Monitor patient treatment goals and plans over the course of therapy.
  • Observes, documents, and reports patient’s status or new findings to supervising Physical Therapist or Clinic Manager
  • Provides feedback to the Physical Therapist on therapy treatment to collaborate and optimize therapy outcomes
  • Provide, keep, and timely submit accurate medical documentation for each patient.
  • Coordinates with other clinical staff and office staff to ensure ancillary services are provided to meet patient’s needs
  • Reviews patient medical records for current diagnosis, codes, past medical history, contraindications, and precautions.
  • Up-to-date with current Maryland regulatory agencies compliance and documentation standards
  • Clinically competent.
  • Maintains clinic supplies, equipment, and apparatus in clean, safe and functional condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

PTA Job Requirements

  • New PTA graduates are welcome to apply
  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Maryland with no outstanding disciplinary actions
  • Proficient in manual therapy skills
  • Previous experience on any EMR software is a plus.
  • Experienced in outpatient orthopedics therapy is a plus
  • MUST: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.
  • MUST: Have strong interest in helping and caring patients
  • MUST: Able to multi-task, extremely reliable, and motivated

Schedule: Part-time (at least 20 hours) or Full-time
