Outpatient Physical Therapist Needed in Columbia MD

BEAT Physical Therapy is looking for talented and energetic individuals to fill-in our job opening for an Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Columbia MD. Candidates must have great patient care and customer service skills. We are currently hiring only the best candidates who can help us assist our patients in achieving their optimal functional performance.

Responsibilities

• Establishment of physical therapy goals and plans treatment programs to achieve full functional recovery and restore strength using effective therapeutic techniques and procedures.
• Provides well-designed treatment plan and instructions to patients about home exercise programs and pain relief management.
• Monitor patient treatment goals and plans over the course of therapy.
• Regularly assess therapy program progress and quickly adjust the need of modifying goals and treatment.
• Discharges patient from rehabilitation when a patient meets the physical therapy goals or when a patient is back on his/her body functions.
• Provide, keep, and timely submit accurate medical documentation for each patient.
• Consults with Clinical Manager/Supervisor about patient regarding initial evaluation and follow up visits.
• Reviews patient medical records for current diagnosis, codes, past medical history, contraindications, and precautions.
• Up-to-date with current Maryland regulatory agencies compliance and documentation standards
• Clinically competent.
• Maintains clinic supplies, equipment, and apparatus in clean, safe and functional condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• New DPT graduates are welcome to apply.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Maryland with no outstanding disciplinary actions
• Able to multitask, extremely reliable, and motivated.
• Proficient in manual therapy skills
• Actively pursuing any physical therapy specialty to enhance clinical expertise related to outpatient facility setting is a
• MUST: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.
• MUST: Have a strong interest in helping and caring patients

Schedule: Flexible – Early morning, late evening, and Saturday coverage

Job-Type: Part-time to Full-time
